State Senator Carol Fukunaga: Broadband Deployment in Hawaii

When mainlanders think of Hawaii, they think of beautiful beaches and sunny weather, not access to high-speed Internet. But as a member of the Hawaii Broadband Task Force, ensuring that Hawaii residents have access to broadband is something I think about every day.

The Hawaii Broadband Task Force, established by the 2007 Legislature, has held several meetings in 2007, and recently released an interim progress report. You can read more about our work on the Task Force’s informal web site, www.hbtf.org.
