While healthcare has been the prominent topic on Capitol Hill for months– it was the technology aspect of health care that took center stage among policymakers today. In honor of National Health IT Week (Sept 21-25), Members of Congress and key federal agency officials joined industry and academics for a discussion of health IT policy and a corresponding expo featuring 30 innovative exhibitors.

The two central themes that emerged from the lively discussion hosted by the Institute for e-Health Policy emphasized the growing support of health IT among policymakers and the surge in interagency cooperation.
