National Urban League Conference Highlights the Benefits of Broadband

Broadband is empowering African American communities all across the country. The National Urban League, which hosted their annual conference in Washington, DC this past week, featured an expo that highlighted the many ways that broadband is providing new and exciting benefits for the community. From increased access to job openings and well paying jobs to better education and high quality healthcare, broadband is helping to bridge social and economic gaps.

The broadband exhibit, sponsored by AT&T, highlighted a recent initiative by the National Urban League titled the Broadband Opportunity Coalition. The goal of the coalition is to help raise broadband adoption rates in over 350 low-income communities. Click below to view footage from the exhibit.
