On Friday, July 24, National Journal held an event to release the latest Allstate Heartland Monitor Poll addressing if Americans still feel our country is the land of opportunity and what role government and business are playing in helping them get ahead or holding them back. The poll is part of a series examining how everyday Americans are navigating the new economic landscape.
