Guest Blog: Steven Shepherd
Greetings everyone, this is Steve Shepard of the Executive Crash Course Company. We’re here at NXTComm, and there’s a distinct buzz in the air. So let me make a few observations. For a couple of years now we’ve seen a crescendo building around the whole issue of content and media, both of which are critically important to the industry at large. However, we have to keep in mind that, as we all get wrapped up in the heady world of media, it does nothing for us without a solid, broadband network to deliver it over. Today’s industry is about richness, and immediacy, and relevance, all of which are enhanced by the presence of adequate bandwidth to make it all happen. So while we get excited about the prospect of any content, delivered to any user, over any network, anywhere in the world, to any device connected to any access solution, remember that what I’ve just described is a holistic package – you have to have all the elements to make magic happen. Both content and network are important, and together they create a special form of technological synergy that can’t be ignored. Thoughts?
