State Statistics

  • A project currently under way through the ConnectME Authority will bring broadband service to more than 50 underserved communities representing 14,400 households and businesses, and will yield an approximate 2.8 percent increase in broadband adoption when finished.   • The Maine Broadband Access Infrastructure Board was created in 2005 to focus on how to expand the availability of broadband services throughout the state, with the goal of achieving universal statewide access by 2010.
